North Carolina 501(c)(3) arts organizations devoting at least 80% of programming expenses to arts, with average organizational expense budgets of at least $75,000 over three years and at least one half-time equivalent manager paid at least minimum wage. Universities, colleges, organizations within another entity and fiscal-agent applications are excluded. Statewide Service Organizations and county Grassroots partners are generally ineligible. Awards cannot exceed 10% of three-year average cash operating expenses. General nonprofit eligibility includes state good standing, at least two years of arts programming, $20,000 in prior-year cash operating expenses and a UEI.
