Maine STEP Financial Assistance Awards
Who can apply
- Small businesses
Maine-based small businesses operating for at least one year and seeking new international sales. Applicants must identify target countries and an export-growth project, pay expenses up front and contribute a 25% match. Projects must be approved before they take place.
About this grant
Maine's STEP awards reimburse 75% of approved export-growth activity costs, with awards of $3,000–$8,000. Projects are evaluated for eligibility, implementation capacity and potential to increase international sales. Reimbursement depends on the administrator receiving federal STEP funds.
